After wanting a steel Kona for years I finally bought a frame in Sept ‘08 from retrobike. It took ages to finally build it up and the first ride came as a singlespeed at the beginning of March. Soon after it needed gears to lend to someone for the West Highland Way trip in April so it now lives as a 24 speed.

Was stolen from Glasgow Uni on Friday 13th April 2007.
Trek 4300 (2001?)
I bought this frame off ebay in summer 2006 and built it up mostly using old parts I had lying around from my old Saracen. I also bought a few parts and acquired some SR Suntour forks for free!
Didn’t finally complete it until February 2007. The chain snapped twice on it’s first ride and it hasn’t been used since!
Update April 2009: This was lent to Christine and (to my surprise) made it all the way from Glasgow to Inverness over 4 days. It has since been dismantled to make way for the Kona, and the frame will be sold on soon.
Update October 2009: This frame was finally sold off on ebay, fetching £29 including postage – exactly what I paid for it!
BMX
Cheapo bought from ebay – £26 plus £25 p&p. I intended to use it as something I could leave at the train station in the mornings but have pretty much given up. It still gets the odd use down to work and back.
Update October 2009: Due to a leaking shed roof the rims, chain and various bolts turned quite rusty on this. Since it doesn’t get used I decided to give it away on freeshare.
